Every project on this site starts from the same place: years of actually running the operation, not just reporting on it. Here's the path that got me there.

  Airport Duty Manager — Virgin Atlantic

  Tampa International Airport (TPA)

  Lead day-to-day airport operations for Virgin Atlantic at TPA — communication, analytics, and on-time performance.

  Qualified as a Turnaround Coordinator (TCO), responsible for both overwing operations (catering, cleaning, passenger boarding, departure readiness) and below-wing/ramp safety oversight.

  Trusted as a TCO Verifier, auditing and signing off TCO competency for colleagues across TPA, Toronto (YYZ), Riyadh (RUH), and Orlando (MCO).

  Maintains compliance with airport authority, TSA, and dangerous goods regulations, including battery classification and carriage-eligibility decisions.

  Senior Supervisor — Virgin Atlantic account, Swissport

  Orlando International Airport (MCO)

  Recalled from pandemic furlough to help lead the station restart for the Virgin Atlantic account at MCO — rebuilding and retraining ground teams and re-establishing full operational readiness.

  Senior point of escalation across check-in, ticketing, ramp, and turnaround operations.

  Ground operations, Swissport — Virgin Atlantic account

  Orlando International Airport (MCO)

  Started at the check-in counter — boarding passes, travel-document verification, baggage handling — for a high-volume international terminal.

  Moved into ticketing (upgrades, fares, rebooking), then Gate Lead — operating the boarding bridge and coordinating turn in/out timing across widebody aircraft including the 747, A330, A350 and 787.

  Went on to coordinate crew logistics — hotel and transport scheduling, catering and unit-load-device tracking — before being promoted to Supervisor, overseeing check-in, ticketing, ramp and turnaround crews day to day.
